KARWAR: District
head quarters. Waves swept silvery beaches. IT was once a centre for
foreign trade. Sadhashivgad hill fort, Durga temple, Octagonal church,
Venkataramama temple are worth seeing. Also a modern port.
DANDELI: Natural
habitat for wildlife. A paper mill is located here. There is a River
camp run by Jungle lodges and resorts.
MAILEMANE FALLS:
The Mailemane falls plunges from a height of 230 meters forming a thick
white cascade.
SHIVAGANGA: Water
falls plunges from a height of 74 meters into a deep valley.
GOKARNA: Important
pilgrimage centre where Atmalinga can be seen in Mahabaleshwara temple.
YANA: A unique
formation of rocks.
ULAVI: Famous
pilgrim centre.
